Join us at our special 2-day PD “Accessibility Matters” Conference!

Washington State CIO Bill Kehoe will provide opening comments, and State CISO Ralph Johnson will deliver the Keynote. This will be followed by two days of lively presentations by subject matter experts, and real life experiences and insights from those to whom accessibility matters most.

Attendees will learn:

  • How the changes to Title II of the ADA will impact State and Local government agencies.
  • WaTech Accessibility Policy 188 Updates and strategies on how to become compliant.
  • Why accessibility should matter to you and how you can create a more accessible environment in your government agency.
  • Government agencies are regarded as having a certain level of responsibility to the citizens of the state. With nearly 13% of the population identifying as having a disability — it is critical that we ensure equal access to all Washington State citizens.

Day 1 (October 8) is in person at the Worthington Conference Center at St Martin’s College in Lacey, and includes lunch.

Day 2 (October 9) is virtual (Zoom). The link will be sent separately to registrants.

The agenda is still under development. When completed, you will find it and other event materials here.
