Project oversight is a hot topic with respect to Washington State IT Projects. As a result of years of publicly visible project challenges, the legislature has become increasingly involved in Project Oversight. The OCIO is increasingly active in the oversight of many projects. 

This Professional Development event will help agencies understand both internal (within the agency) and external project oversight.

Participants will come away with a better understanding of the opportunities and challenges inherent in IT Project Management and Oversight for government agencies. They will hear from those charged with project oversight at the state level, from vendors on best practices, and from fellow state agencies on tips and insights from their experiences.
